Where is the NFC on My Smartphone?

One of the most common questions we get asked. 

The NFC reader on your smart phone can be positioned either on thet op, middle, or bottom of the back side of phone.  Apple devices are on the top, while most Android devices are in the middle, some may be at the bottom.  Use the dropdown below to see where yours is.

Apple iPhones

iPhone X, 8, 8+, 7, 7+

To get started, you’ll need to install the Berify app from your device’s app store. Once installed, sign up for an account and log in.

iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, 11, 11 Pro/Max, SE (2nd Gen) , 12, 12 Pro / Max, 12 Mini, 13, 13 Pro / Max, 13 Mini

Scan the Berify NFC tag and navigate to the Product Details page after clicking View Experience.  On the top of the product details page, you will see a Redeem NFT button if an NFT is available for redemption.  Follow on screen directions to proceed.

iPhone 14, 14 Pro / Max, 15, 15 Pro / Max

Scan the Berify NFC tag and navigate to the Product Details page after clicking View Experience.  On the top of the product details page, you will see a Redeem NFT button if an NFT is available for redemption.  Follow on screen directions to proceed.

As a product owner, adding the product with a Berify tail smart tag to your portfolio enables you to receive push notifications when the tag shifts from an untampered to a tampered state.

When the product is untampered and the tail on the Berify tail smart tag is still intact, scanning the tag will activate the untampered experience defined by the brand. When the product is tampered and the tail on the Berify tail smart tag is removed and no longer intact, scanning the tag will activate the tampered experience defined by the brand.
